Pittsburgh, Pa. – Robert Morris University senior forward
Brandon Denham has been named the
Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week.
Denham scored the game-tying goal, his second goal of the game, in Friday night's 4-4 tie at Army West Point, helping Robert Morris earn a point. Denham also had an assist, capping a three-point night. On Saturday, Denham scored a goal and added an assist in the Colonials 5-2 win over the Black Knights.
Scoring, nothing new to the Colonials alternate captain this season. Denham is tied for the conference lead in goals (8) and goals per game (0.80) with fellow Colonial
Greg Gibson. The Milton, Ontario native is also third in points in Atlantic Hockey with 14, behind teammates Gibson and
Zac Lynch.
Denham is also ranked nationally for his scoring prowess. His three goals at Army West Point puts him tied for fourth in the country in goals scored with 8, and his five-point weekend brings him to a tie for 17th nationally in points.
This is the first Atlantic Hockey honor of the season for Denham, fourth individual weekly honor for the Colonials, who received two monthly honors as well.
Denham and the Colonials return home to face Sacred Heart this Saturday, November 28 at 7:05pm and Sunday, November 29 at 5:05pm.
