Moon Township, Pa. - The
Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team will welcome reality TV star and Pittsburgh native
Chris Jamison to Joe Walton Stadium
this Sunday afternoon to help commemorate Senior Day.
Jamison, the brother of junior attacker
Emily Jamison, is scheduled to sing the national anthem prior to the Colonials' 1 p.m. Northeast Conference matchup against Central Connecticut State. Chris made it to the final round of NBC's "The Voice" this past winter, establishing a name for himself in the entertainment business with a strong showing in front of a nationwide audience.
Sunday will also feature a special pregame ceremony for the seven RMU seniors -
Emma Baukhages,
Rhyan Bofinger,
Stefany Gale,
Kristi Marks,
Jessica Rutherford,
Haley Schemm and
Kristin Yoviene - who will suit up for their final contest on campus. Entering Friday's game against Bryant, that group has contributed to 34 wins while in Moon Township, tied for the most for a senior class in program history.
Following Sunday's game, the Colonials will host their annual Youth Day, starting with an autograph session after the final whistle. RMU will also put on a mini-clinic for any young lacrosse players interested in improving their skills and learning more about the sport.
Robert Morris (8-4, 1-2 NEC) comes into the weekend (
