Amber Rennie of the
Robert Morris University women's hockey team was named College Hockey America (CHA) Player of the Week, announced the league Monday afternoon.
This is the first CHA Player of the Week honor for Rennie, and third career weekly award from the league overall.
Rennie combined for four points in Robert Morris' 0-1-1 weekend at Merrimack. The second-year forward out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, scored a goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss. She followed up Friday's performance with a career-high three assists to match her career-best three points in Saturday's 3-3 tie with the Warriors.
Rennie has posted a point in the last four games. She leads the Colonials in points (13; tied with
Jaycee Gebhard), and assists (nine).
Robert Morris returns to 84 Lumber Arena this weekend to open CHA action with in-state rival Mercyhurst on Friday, Oct. 28 at 3:05 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29 at 2:05 p.m.
