Robert Morris University women's hockey team was named College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Month for October, announced the league Tuesday afternoon.
The rookie from Plenty, Saskatchewan, leads the league in power-play points (seven), power-play goals (three), and freshman scoring, ranks second in points (13) and assists (eight) and fourth in goals (five). She checks in at No. 2 in the nation in points per game among rookies (1.30), is tied for fourth in power-play goals, and is tied for 15
th in points per game overall.
Gebhard leads the Colonials in points, power-play points, power-play goals and plus/minus (+4), and ranks second in goals and assists. She has posted multi-point efforts in six of 10 games played, and recorded a four-game point streak from Oct. 14 to Oct. 22. Gebhard scored a career-high two goals in Robert Morris' 6-3 win against RPI on Oct. 7, and tabbed multi-assist efforts on Oct. 2 at Providence, and in back-to-back outings versus Vermont on Oct. 15 and at Merrimack on Oct. 21.
Robert Morris returns to 84 Lumber Arena this weekend to continue CHA action with Syracuse on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3:05 p.m.
