Winthrop, Mass. - Robert Morris University men's hockey senior
Daniel Leavens has been named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Month for November, the league announced Thursday.
Leavens is one of three Colonials leading the conference in scoring with 11 points, alongside linemates
Brady Ferguson and
Alex Tonge. Leavens' 11 points is tied for sixth nationally. Leavens scored 4 goals and notched 7 assists in 6 games in the month of November, including a pair of game-winning goals that gave Robert Morris its first sweep of the season at Sacred Heart.
The senior forward has at least a point in every game in November and has a plus-8 rating and a shorthanded goal. Leavens' 1.83 points per game is tops in the conference and fifth nationally. Leavens takes a six-game point streak into this weekend's home series with conference opponent Sacred Heart.
This is the second consecutive monthly honor for a Colonials forward as Ferguson took home October Player of the Month honors from Atlantic Hockey in October.
