Toronto, Ontario – Colonials alumna Rebecca Vint of the Robert Morris University women's hockey class of 2014-15 has been nominated for the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) Rookie of the Year award.

Vint is a first-year forward for the Brampton Thunder. In 24 games played, Vint has recorded 19 goals, including two shorthanded, four on the power play and three game winners, and seven assists for 26 points. The Thunder have completed two games in pursuit of the 2016 Clarkson Cup, and Vint posted two goals overall in two postseason appearances.

In four seasons at Robert Morris, Vint recorded 73 goals and 61 assists for 134 points in 127 games played. She tabbed 23 power-play goals, seven shorthanded goals and 18 game-winning goals, as well as 168 blocks. Vint holds the all-time individual career records at RMU in points, goals, game-winning goals, shorthanded goals and plus/minus (+44).

In an interview earlier this week, head coach Paul Colontino touched on the positive impact that RMU alumnae competing in the CWHL, and more recently, the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), has on the future of the Colonials program.
