Colonials Add Transfer Louria

Pittsburgh, Pa. -  Robert Morris University men's hockey adds transfer Michael Louria to the team's roster. Louria, a forward, joins the Colonials but will not play until the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Louria, a native of Wexford, Pa., played the last two seasons at UMass Lowell, playing in 51 games since the start of the River Hawks 2014 campaign. In his sophomore season, Louria scored 9 points on four goals and five assists, finishing the year with a plus-five rating. The River Hawks were 6-1-1 when Louria recorded a point. The 5'11" forward skated in 11 of the last 13 games for a UMass Lowell team that made the NCAA tournament and advanced to the quarterfinal round.

During his freshman season, Louria led UMass Lowell with 4 game-winning goals en route to a 15 point rookie campaign. Louria scored six goals and recorded 9 assists. The River Hawks played in the Hockey East Championship game in each of the season's Louria was there.

Louria played against Robert Morris this past season in the Three Rivers Classic Championship game, recording an assist.
