Moon Township, Pa. – Ten home matches highlight the 2016 Robert Morris University men's soccer schedule. The 17-game slate has 10 non-conference games and seven Northeast Conference games as the Colonials look to return to the NEC Tournament for the second straight season.

Robert Morris welcomes Niagara to North Athletic Complex for the season opener Friday, Aug. 26, in a 1:00 p.m. match. RMU has won three of the last four meetings against the Purple Eagles. The second game of a three-game homestand follows Sunday, Aug. 28, against Cleveland State before Hartwick visits Moon Township Sunday, Sept. 4.

The first road game of the season has Robert Morris visiting St. Bonaventure (Sept. 11). It's the first meeting between the Bonnies and Colonials. RMU then looks to end a three-game losing streak against Pitt when they host the Panthers Tuesday, Sept. 13. Road games at Lehigh (Sept. 17) and Duquesne (Sept. 23) follow with the Dukes and Colonials playing under the lights at Rooney Field. The Colonials have won all three meetings against the Bison by an aggregate score of 9-2.

RMU has won two of three against their NEC opening opponent Fairleigh Dickinson Friday, Oct. 7. Home games against the league's Brooklyn members, LIU Brooklyn and St. Francis Brooklyn, take place Friday, Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 16. The last three games against the Terriers have gone to overtime. Extra soccer is likely against the Colonials Friday, Oct. 21 opponent as well. Bryant and RMU have gone to overtime in five of their eight meetings. Robert Morris will then try to stretch their win streak against Sacred Heart to four games Sunday, Oct. 23.

The final non-league game is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 26, when the Colonials host James Madison for the first time since 1998. The final two fixtures on the league table are at North Athletic Complex. RMU is 5-2-2 at home versus Central Connecticut, its Sunday, Oct. 30, opponent.
