Moon Township, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University men's basketball team will play a special exhibition game Friday, Oct. 27, at Niagara as part of efforts to raise awareness and financial support for continued hurricane effort reliefs.
The game tips at 7:00 p.m. between the Colonials and Purple Eagles on Frank and Barbara Layden Court at the Gallagher Center in Niagara University, N.Y.
"This is a great opportunity to be involved in a game that goes beyond college basketball," head coach
Andrew Toole said. "What has happened with the devastating hurricanes this year is a reminder to cherish what's important, and that's the family and friends you surround yourself with each day. Our game with Niagara is a fantastic way to help play a part in helping those who need it most."
All net proceeds of the game will be given to hurricane relief efforts, and Niagara will also be accepting donations both at the game and over the phone. All proceeds will be donated to United Way Greater Niagara, which will then distribute those proceeds to agencies in the regions of Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico.
