The 2011 veteran's choice to be inducted into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame, Marshall was a two-year starter for Robert Morris as a member of the junior college program under former head coach and RMU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Gus Kropp. In two seasons for the Colonials, Marshall averaged a double-double, scoring 743 points (12.8 points per game) while grabbing 689 rebounds (11.9 rebounds per contest). During his sophomore season in 1971-72, Marshall averaged 16.4 points per game to rank second for RMU while leading the team in rebounding. In 27 games in 1971-72, Marshall grabbed an astonishing 428 caroms, an average of 15.9 rebounds per game. He went on to finish his Division I career at Penn State. He is a native of Clairton, Pa.
