As athletic director at Robert Morris from 2000-05, Hofacre oversaw some of the greatest expansion of the athletic department in school history. She oversaw the addition of six new sports (women’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s ice hockey and field hockey) and the development of the new track and field at the RMU Island Sports Center. She also assisted in the developoment of Joe Walton Stadium, which is home to the football and lacrosse programs. Under Hofacre's watch, Robert Morris garnered its first-ever Academic All-Americans in Christian Lemke (second team track & field in 2004) and Jonathan LeDonne (football in 2004). A native of Aberdeen, S.D., Hofacre passed away in January of 2005.
