The Class of 2015 veteran's choice to be inducted into the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame, Luton scored 1,134 points and grabbed 517 rebounds in three seasons with the Colonials after transferring from Youngstown State. He was named the 1989 Northeast Conference Player of the Year after averaging 17.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting 55.7 percent from the field. Luton, a native of Coraopolis, Pa., scored 25 points in the 1989 NEC Tournament championship game, a 67-66 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson at the Charles L. Sewall Center, to help Robert Morris clinch its third NEC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament bid. For those efforts was named the 1989 NEC Tournament MVP.
