MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Tony Lee will join the RMU Ring of Honor prior to the Colonials' contest against Purdue Fort Wayne January 12.

A four-year letter winner and 2014 RMU Hall of Fame inductee, Lee amassed 1,489 points, 751 rebounds and 487 assists. Lee was tied with former forward Anthony Dickens (1985-90) as the program's all-time leading rebounder before the record was broken in 2015. He also ranks ninth all-time in points and fourth in assists. Lee was named the 2008 Northeast Conference Player of the Year after helping lead the Colonials to an overall record of 26-8 (.765) during his senior campaign, including a mark of 16-2 (.889) that helped RMU earn its seventh NEC regular-season title.

Lee averaged 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game in 2007-08, establishing a Robert Morris single-season school record for assists with 217. The Colonials made their first appearance in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) that season. During his senior season, Lee recorded a pair of triple doubles in consecutive games, becoming just the sixth player in NCAA Division I history to do so in back-to-back contests.

Devised in the summer of 2013, the RMU Ring of Honor was created to honor the very best of the program in its NCAA Division I history. In order to be eligible for the RMU Ring of Honor, a former male or female student-athlete who played basketball with the Colonials must meet at least four of the following five criteria:
- RMU Athletic Hall of Fame Member
- RMU career statistical leader in any category a minimum of five years
- Named conference player of the year at least once
- Earned all-conference first team honors at least once
- Member of conference regular season or tournament championship team that advanced to a national postseason tournament

Lee is the third member of the men's basketball program to be inducted into the RMU Ring of Honor joining Chipper Harris (2014) and Myron Walker (2017). Sugeiry Monsac was the first women's player to join the elite group also in 2017.
