RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (4/14/10)
Earning the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor is freshman Jenna Rinker of the golf team. Rinker was named the latest Northeast Conference Women's Golfer of the Week this afternoon after helping lead the Colonials to their first team title in school history with a victory at the Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational, April 12-13, at Quail Valley Golf Club in Littlestown, Pa. A native of Slippery Rock, Pa., Rinker took medalist honors by shooting rounds of 80 and 79 before besting teammate Elizabeth Wenger in a playoff. The marketing major also finished second at a tri-match hosted by Saint Francis (Pa.) held at Immergun Golf Club this past weekend. Through four rounds this spring, Rinker leads Robert Morris with a stroke average of 80.8.
