RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (5/19/10)
Tabbed the final RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2009-10 season is junior C.G. Mercatoris of the golf team. A native of Brookville, Pa., Mercatoris takes home his third honor of the year after being named to the 2010 All-Northeast Conference First Team May 12. He finished one stroke shy of the NEC individual title at the 2010 NEC Men's Golf Championships and also posted top five finishes at both the Holiday Inn Colonial Classic and the Butler Spring Invitational. On the 2009-10 season, Mercatoris led RMU with an average score of 75.4 strokes per round and became the first All-NEC First Team honoree from Robert Morris since former Colonial Damien Mackman earned the honor in 2005. He is a finance major.
