The third different student-athlete from the volleyball squad to garner the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week in as many weeks is senior libero Melissa Bograd. In helping the Colonials move to 4-0 in the Northeast Conference with road wins at Central Connecticut State (10/4) and Bryant (10/5), Bograd compiled 47 digs, five assists and three services. In a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs to help keep Robert Morris perfect in league play, Bograd, who hails from Lemont, Ill., posted a career-high 30 digs while recording a trio of assists and a service ace. It marks the sixth time in Bograd’s career she has tallied at least 25 digs in a game. On the 2014 campaign, Bograd ranks fifth in the NEC in digs per set (4.22) and on her career has compiled 1,214 digs, which ranks eighth all-time at RMU.Â
