For the fourth consecutive week a member of the Robert Morris volleyball squad is honored with the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Earning the accolade for Oct. 15, 2014, is junior middle blocker Kristin Thompson, who helped the Colonials earn a pair of road victories last week by compiling 18 kills against just four errors in 33 total attempts for an attack percentage .424 while recording 13 blocks. In a 3-2 victory at Saint Francis U. (10/10) that helped RMU stay perfect in the Northeast Conference at 5-0, Thompson finished with seven kills, a .455 attack percentage and five blocks. The next afternoon in a 3-2 win at NJIT (10/11), Thompson tied a season-high with 11 kills, hit .409 and recorded a team-high eight blocks and three digs. On the 2014 season, Thompson is hitting .240 and owns 53 kills and 32 blocks.
