Earning her second Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the last three weeks is junior middle blocker Kristin Thompson of the volleyball team. In a pair of road victories last weekend, Thompson tallied 29 kills, a .500 attack percentage and 12 blocks as the Colonials posted wins over Fairleigh Dickinson and Sacred Heart. In a three-set victory over the Knights, Thompson posted a career-high 19 kills against four errors in 30 total attempts for a .500 attack percentage while also recording five blocks. The next afternoon in a 3-1 win over the Pioneers, Thompson recorded 10 kills, a .500 attack percentage and seven blocks. For her efforts, Thompson, a native of Monroe, Ohio, was selected as the Molten Northeast Conference Player of the Week. On the 2014 campaign, Thompson ranks second in the NEC in attack percentage (.337) and sixth in blocks (1.04 per set).
