Senior wide receiver Duane Mitchell earns the Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week accolade for Nov. 12, 2014. Mitchell finished with a three catches for 55 yards against Wagner (11/8) at Joe Walton Stadium and in the process established a new school record. Mitchell has now caught at least one pass in 31 consecutive games, breaking the old mark of 30 that was held by former tight end Shadrae King (2008-11). Mitchell enters the final home game of his career Saturday against in-state rival Saint Francis U. ranked second all-time at Robert Morris in both receptions (125) and receiving yards (1,754) while also possessing 17 career touchdown catches. Mitchell, a native of Monroe Falls, Ohio, ranks fourth in the NEC in 2014 in receptions per game (5.11) and seventh in receiving yards per contest (50.0) and recently was named to the Capital One District 2 Academic All-America Team according to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).Â
