Senior middle blocker Becky Jay of the volleyball team earns the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 26, 2014. Jay, a native of Parma, Ohio, earned a pair of postseason honors from the Northeast Conference last weekend. She was named to the All-NEC First Team in a vote of league head coaches and also earned a spot on the 2014 All-NEC Tournament Team after helping lead the Colonials to the championship game. In a 3-0 sweep of Saint Francis U. (11/22/14) in the semifinals of the 2014 NEC Tournament, Jay led Robert Morris with 11 kills against just one error in 16 total attempts for an attack percentage of .625. She also recorded six blocks against the Red Flash. In the title match against LIU Brooklyn (11/23/14), Jay finished with three kills and three blocks. On the 2014 campaign, Jay ranked second in the NEC in total blocks (135) while establishing a new career record in the category (463).
