Earning a special Thursday edition of the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade is sophomore guard Anna Nikki Stamolamprou of the basketball squad. In a pair of games over the course of the last week, Stamolamprou averaged 20.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 60 percent (15-for-25) from the field, including 55.7 percent (5-for-9) from beyond the arc, and 83.3 percent (5-for-6) at the free-throw line. In playing a full 45 minutes @ Xavier (11/30), Stamolamprou led all scorers with 20 points, finishing 8-for-12 from the field, while also grabbing six rebounds and dishing out a pair of assists. In RMU’s 2014-15 home opener against La Salle (12/3), Stamolamprou again scored 20 points to lead the Colonials, going 7-for-13 from the floor, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. On the 2014-15 campaign she has led Robert Morris in five of RMU’s first six games, posting a scoring average of 19.2 points per game while shooting 51.2 percent (43-for-84) from the field. Â
