Freshman guard Shakema Dashiell of the basketball squad garners the Christmas edition of the Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week. In the final contest for Robert Morris prior to Christmas at Cornell (12/20/14) scored 12 points in just 10 minutes off the bench. Her output helped RMU climb out of a 15-point deficit and force overtime. Dashiell went 3-for-4 from the floor, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, and 4-for-4 at the free-throw line against the Big Red and also recorded a pair of rebounds and an assist. For her efforts, the rookie from Salisbury, Md., was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week (12/22/14). It was just the fourth game of the season for Dashiell, who had played a total of 13 minutes prior to RMU’s tilt against Cornell. Â
