For the third straight week, junior guard Rodney Pryor of the basketball squad garners the Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week. The 6’5”, 205-pound guard helped Robert Morris clinch its eighth Northeast Conference Tournament title and subsequent berth in the NCAA Tournament Tuesday night in a 66-63 victory @ St. Francis Brooklyn by leading the Colonials with 187 points while registering a pair of rebounds and four steals. Pryor scored 11 points in the second half against the Terriers, hitting a trio of three-pointers, and in three games of the tourney averaged 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals. Thanks to his performance, he was named the 2015 NEC Tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP). Pryor enters the 2015 NCAA Tournament leading RMU in scoring at 15.2 points per game and has knocked down a team-high 76 three-pointers, an average of 2.30 per game.
