Earning his first Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2014-15 season is junior forward Greg Gibson of the ice hockey team. In a sweep of Niagara last weekend at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island as part of the Atlantic Hockey Conference (AHC) semifinals, Gibson scored a pair of goals and recorded an assist for three points. Gibson, a native of Burlington, Ontario, produced an assist in a 4-2 win over the Purple Eagles in the first game of the series. The next night Gibson lit the lamp twice, including a goal at the 7:48 mark of the third period that gave the Colonials a 5-3 advantage en route to a 6-3 victory. In 31 games this season, Gibson ranks third for Robert Morris in goals (15) and is one of eight student-athletes to have eclipsed at least 20 points, owning 24.
