Earning her second Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2015 spring season is senior pitcher Nicole Sleith of the softball team. In a pair of road victories against Bryant (4/12/15) Sunday that helped the Colonials stay perfect in Northeast Conference action at 6-0, Sleith twirled a pair of shutouts. She allowed just six hits in the doubleheader sweep, yielding six hits, walking three and striking out 13. Thanks to her performance, the Yough, Pa., native became the program’s all-time strikeout leader with 844. So far this season, Sleith has compiled a 13-8 record from the pitching circle, striking out 195 batters in 135 innings pitched. She has allowed just 30 earned runs for a 1.56 earned run average (ERA) and also owns five shutouts and a pair of saves.
