Earning her third Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2014-15 campaign but first during the outdoor season is senior Bethany Ledford of the track & field squad. At the 2015 Northeast Conference Championships last weekend in Emmitsburg, Md., Ledford claimed her fourth overall individual title in the pole vault. Ledford, a native of Huntingdon, Pa., cleared 3.70 meters (12’1.50”) on her third attempt to claim gold and earn All-NEC First Team status. Ledford last won the individual title in the pole vault at the NEC outdoor championships in 2012 and also won indoor titles in 2014 and 2015. Ledford will now gear up to defend her ECAC Championships individual title in the pole vault May 15-17, 2015, in Princeton, N.J.
