Garnering the first Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2015-16 year is senior Neco Brett of the soccer team. No stranger to earning the accolade, it marks the seventh career weekly honor for Brett. Helping Robert Morris open the year 2-0 for the first time since 2007, Brett, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, was recorded a double brace for the second time in his career in a 4-1 victory @ Cleveland State (8/30) in a game that was televised live on ESPN3. He accounted for all four goals, helping him tie the RMU career school record for hat tricks with three. Named the first NEC Player of the Week (9/1) of the 2015 campaign, Brett has compiled 77 points (33 goals, 11 assists) in 38 games since the beginning of the 2013 season, an average of 2.03 points per game.Â
