Bestowed with the Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 23, 2013, is senior linebacker Mike Cook of the football team. A native of Victoria, Minn., Cook led the Robert Morris defense in a 21-20 setback to Duquesne (10/19) as part of the University’s Homecoming festivities with 13 tackles and a pass breakup. Of his 13 tackles, two were solo and one was for a loss of four yards. On the 2013 season, Cook leads the Northeast Conference in takedowns with 72, an average of 12.0 per game that ranks second in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), trailing only Jer-Ryan Harris of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (13.1 per game).
