Freshman midfielder Lucas Puntillo of the soccer team earns the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor for Sept. 30, 2015. In the only tilt for the Colonials last week, Puntillo registered a goal and an assist in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Duquesne (9/27) at the North Athletic Complex. Puntillo, a native of Woodbridge, Ontario, tied the game, 1-1, in the 82nd minute on a shot through traffic. He followed that by setting up sophomore Rafael Bruzual for the game-winning goal in the 108th minute. For his efforts, Puntillo was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week (9/28) for the second time this season. So far this year, Puntillo leads the NEC in assists (4) and ranks fourth in goals (3) and points (10).Â
