Freshman Taylor Lord of the volleyball team garners the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor for Oct. 7, 2015. In three games last week, Lord recorded the first two double-doubles of her career as the Colonials went 2-1 but improved to 3-0 in Northeast Conference action. Lord posted the first double-double of her career with 10 kills and 19 digs @ Youngstown State (9/29). She contributed eight kills, a .300 attack percentage and 10 digs in a 3-0 sweep @ LIU Brooklyn (10/3) and helped Robert Morris stay perfect in league play with 11 kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 win @ St. Francis Brooklyn (10/4). For her efforts, Lord was selected as the NEC Rookie of the Week (10/5). Through 17 games of the 2015 campaign, Lord ranks second for the Colonials and seventh in the NEC in digs (3.58 per game) while ranking third for RMU in kills with 110. She also owns a team-high 14 service aces.
