Earning his second Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the year and the final accolade of 2015 is senior forward Zac Lynch of the hockey team. Lynch, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., took home Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors thanks to three goals and an assist en route to helping lead the Colonials to their second Three Rivers Classic title earlier this week at CONSOL Energy Center. In a 6-4 win over Penn State (12/28/15) in the opening round of the tourney, Lynch scored the eventual game-winning goal and also assisted on RMU’s final tally of the contest. The next night in the championship game against UMass-Lowell (12/29/15), Lynch scored twice, the last of which came at the 17:42 mark of the third period and secured a 5-3 victory and the title. On the 2015-16 campaign, Lynch leads Robert Morris in goals (15) and points (29).
