One of two females honored with the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Jan. 6, 2016, is junior Anna Niki Stamolamprou. In helping lead Robert Morris to a 3-0 record last week, including a 2-0 start in Northeast Conference play, Stamolamprou averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. She was at her best against league opposition, shooting 58.3 percent (14-for-24) from the field, including 73.3 percent (11-for-15) from beyond the arc, in two games. Stamolamprou finished with 22 points, five rebounds and six assists in a 78-63 win over Sacred Heart (1/2/16) and followed with 18 points, seven boards and an assist in a 64-44 victory over Wagner (1/4/16). She also became the 20th student-athlete in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points, accomplishing the feat against the Pioneers. On the 2015-16 campaign, Stamolamprou leads the Colonials in scoring 14.0 and assists (3.62 per game) while ranking second in rebounding (5.8 per game).
