Garnering one of two Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Feb. 3, 2016, is junior forward Maeve Garvey of the hockey team. A key component in a two-game sweep of Lindenwood last weekend at the RMU Island Sports Center, Garvey finished with four points. She recorded a career-high three points in a 5-2 Robert Morris win in the first game of the series, including the game-winning goal. The next day, Garvey scored her third goal of the series in a 3-2 overtime victory. For her efforts, Garvey was tabbed the College Hockey America (CHA) Player of the Week (2/1/16). Garvey, a native of Oakville, Ontario, has compiled seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 28 games so far this season.Â
