Redshirt sophomore forward Brittany Howard is bestowed the honor of Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 24, 2016. Howard scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over RIT (2/19/16) at the RMU Island Sports Center that helped Robert Morris secure the No. 4 seed in the College Hockey America (CHA) Tournament and a first-round series at home. Both of her goals came less than three minutes apart in the second period. Howard first lit the lamp at 4:43 on feeds from Jessica Dodds and Maeve Garvey. At 7:28, the native of St. Thomas, Ontario, again found the back of the net thanks to assists from Sarah Quaranta and Maggie Lague. In 32 games this season, Howard leads the Colonials in goals (16), assists (20) and points (36). She has been named the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week twice this season.Â
