In helping the Colonials garner a 2-1 series victory over Bentley in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Atlantic Hockey Tournament this past weekend at the RMU Island Sports Center, senior forward David Friedmann is the recipient of the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for March 16, 2016. In three games, Friedmann scored two goals and registered three assists for five points, all of which came in RMU’s two victories. In the deciding game three victory, Friedmann scored a pair of goals and posted two assists in a 6-3 win. He scored back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart in the second period, the first of which proved to be the game winner. On the 2015-16 season, Friedmann ranks fourth for Robert Morris in scoring with 38 points, having compiled 11 goals and 27 assists.
