Tabbed the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week is senior Jessica Karwacki of the lacrosse team. In a split last weekend in New England, Karwacki finished with four goals and a pair of assists for seven points while also compiling 12 draw controls. Her biggest performance came in a 10-7 victory @ Bryant (4/17/16) that snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Bulldogs, scoring three goals and assisting on another. Karwacki scored back-to-back goals early in the second half against Bryant to help Robert Morris grab a 7-5 lead and ignite a 4-0 run that gave the Colonials a lead they would never relinquish. In 13 games this season, Karwacki, a native of Sparks, Md., leads RMU in goals (23) and is tied for the team lead in points (27) while owning 84 draw controls, an average of 6.46 per contest that is tops in the Northeast Conference.Â
