Freshman Daniel Franco Saad of the golf team is one of two recipients of the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for May 4, 2016. At the 2016 Northeast Conference championships this past weekend at the LPGA International Jones Course in Daytona Beach, Fla., Saad tied for fifth by finishing at even par after 54 holes. A native of Bogota, Colombia, Saad shot 71-73-72 in the three rounds of the NEC Championships to finish even par at 216. It marks the fifth lowest score and third lowest tally in relation to par in a 54-hole tournament in program history. In 2015-16, Saad finished third for the Colonials with an average round of 76.4.
