Garnering the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor for May 11, 2016, is senior Jessica Guyett of the track & field team. At the 2016 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in New Britain, Conn., last weekend, Guyett won the individual title in the shot put thanks to a toss of 13.55 meters. In earning All-NEC First Team accolades, Guyett finished ahead of Zhane Stones of Wagner, who earned silver with a toss of 13.45 meters. Guyett’s performance was also good enough to crack the top 10 in school history in the event, ranking seventh. She is a native of Washington Court House, Ohio.
