Senior guard Karvel Anderson earns his first Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2013-14 campaign after helping the Colonials wrap up play in the Keightley Classic with a split. A native of Elkhart, Ind., Anderson averaged 19.0 points in two games last week, converting 53.8 percent (14-for-26) of his shots from the field, including 50 percent (8-for-16) from beyond the arc. In an 88-81 victory over UT Arlington (11/21/13) at the Charles L. Sewall Center, Anderson tied a school record for three-pointers by an RMU student-athlete by drilling eight. He finished with 24 points in the win over the Mavericks and also added 14 points in a road setback @ Cleveland State (11/23/13) two nights later. On the 2013-14 campaign, Anderson is supplying the Colonials with averages of 18.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.
