A key reason Robert Morris has earned its first national ranking in program history this week, freshman goaltender Jessica Dodds earns her second Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the 2013-14 season. Dodds helped the Colonials extend their unbeaten streak to five games last weekend by stopping 42 shots in a two-game set with Syracuse. In a 1-1 tie in the opening game of the series, Dodds posted 25 saves. The following day in a 2-1 victory, the native of London, Ontario, turned away 17 shots to preserve the win. For her efforts, Dodds was tabbed the College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Week, her fourth weekly honor of the 2013-14 campaign. Dodds enters play this week 9-0-1 and leads NCAA Division I in winning percentage (.950) while also leading the CHA in goals against average (1.48) and save percentage (.934) while being tied for second in shutouts (3).
