Taking home her second Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2016-17 campaign is redshirt junior forward Brittany Howard of the hockey team. In a road weekend sweep of RIT, Howard extended her point streak to four games by registering a goal and three assists in the two victories. In a 4-3 victory Friday, Nov. 11, that opened the series, Howard, a native of St. Thomas, Ontario, finished with a goal and two assists. The goal marked Howard’s 100th career points, helping her become the fourth student-athlete in program history to eclipse the mark. She added an assist in a 5-1 win Saturday, Nov. 12, that helped Robert Morris stay perfect in College Hockey America (CHA) action. For her efforts against RIT, Howard was named the CHA Player of the Week, her third honor of the season. She leads the Colonials in goals (8), assists (12) and points (20).Â
