Tabbed the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 7, 2016, is junior forward Amanda Pantaleo of the hockey team. In a road sweep of Penn State last weekend, Pantaleo registered two goals and two assists to help keep Robert Morris undefeated in College Hockey America (CHA) action. In a 4-2 win to open the two-game set Saturday, Pantaleo registered a goal and an assist. She helped knot the score, 1-1, in the second period with an assist on Aneta Ledlova’s goal, then scored the final marker of the contest at 19:18 of the third period. The next night against the Nittany Lions, Pantaelo, a native of Markham, Ontario, also registered a goal and assist. She gave the Colonials an early 2-0 lead with her sixth of the season and helped give RMU a 5-3 advantage in the third period with an assist on Maeve Garvey’s goal. In 18 contests for Robert Morris, Pantaleo has supplied the Colonials with six goals and two helpers for eight points and owns a plus/minus of +2.
