Earning the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nod for Dec. 21, 2016, is junior forward Brady Ferguson of the hockey team. In a home-and-home series with Mercyhurst last weekend, Ferguson, a native of Lewisville, Texas, posted a goal and three assists. His lone goal of the weekend came in a 2-2 tie Sunday and proved to be the game-tying marker. It also marked Ferguson’s eighth power-play goal of the 2016-17 campaign, which leads NCAA Division I. Also against the Lakers, Ferguson tallied a .528 winning percentage from the faceoff circle. For his efforts, Ferguson was selected as the Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week (12/20/16). In 18 games this season, Ferguson is averaging 1.78 points per contest, which leads Atlantic Hockey and ranks fifth in the country.   Â
