Garnering her second Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2016-17 season is senior guard Anna Niki Stamolamprou of the basketball team. In a pair of games last week, the native of Thessalonki, Greece, averaged 26.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in the first two home games of the Northeast Conference slate for the Colonials at the Charles L. Sewall Center. In an 83-42 victory over LIU Brooklyn (1/9/17), Stamolamprou poured in a career-high 39 points on 15-of-22 shooting from the field, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, and a 3-for-5 performance at the free-throw line. She tied Robert Morris single-game records for points and field goals while also registering nine rebounds, two assists and three steals. For her efforts, Stamolamprou was tabbed the NEC Player of the Week (1/11/17). In 14 games this season, Stamolamprou is averaging 15.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.
