Garnering her fifth Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2016-17 campaign is redshirt junior forward Brittany Howard of the hockey team. In a two-game sweep of RIT last weekend at the RMU Island Sports Center, Howard compiled six points courtesy of three goals and three assists. In a 4-1 win to open the set Howard tied a career-high with four points, notching a pair of goals and two helpers in the win. In a 5-2 victory that secured a bye in the first round of the College Hockey America (CHA) Tournament, Howard finished with a goal and an assist. For her efforts, Howard was tabbed the CHA Player of the Week, her sixth of the 2016-17 campaign. Through 28 games, Howard has compiled 18 goals and 27 assists, with her 45 points establishing a new Robert Morris single-season record.
