Taking home her fourth Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the 2016-17 campaign is senior guard Anna Niki Stamolamprou of the basketball team. In a pair of victories last week that helped Robert Morris clinch the 2017 Northeast Conference regular-season championship as well as the No. 1 seed in the upcoming NEC Tournament, Stamolamprou averaged 20.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals. In a 66-56 victory over Sacred Heart (2/25/17), Stamolamprou contributed 18 points, eight boards, three dimes and a pair of steals. The native of Thessaloniki, Greece, followed two days later with 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three thefts in a 62-48 win over Fairleigh Dickinson (2/27/17). Her performance against the Knights marked the seventh time this season Stamolamprou has eclipsed the 20-point plateau. In 26 games this season, Stamolamprou has supplied the Colonials with averages of 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.Â
