Sophomore Lilly Harnish of the track & field squad has been tabbed the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for May 3, 2017. At the Red Flash Open (4/29), Harnish rocketed to the top of the Northeast Conference leaderboard in the triple jump with a leap of 12.05 meters (39’6.5”). The performance qualified her for the 2017 ECAC Championships in the event and the distance also ranks third all-time in program history. For her efforts at the Red Flash Open, Harnish was selected as the NEC Rookie of the Week (5/2). Harnish, a native of Waynesboro, Pa., missed the 2016 outdoor campaign due to injury and earned a medical redshirt.
