The first Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2017-18 season goes to freshman middle blocker Emma Granger of the volleyball. A native of Dalton, Ohio, Granger made her presence felt in her collegiate debut, leading the Colonials to a 3-1 victory over Stony Brook (8/25) at the Butler Bulldog Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind., with 15 kills and just two errors in 26 attempts for a .500 attack percentage while also recording a pair of service aces and three blocks. In the first five matches of her career, Granger has played in 19 sets and owns team highs in kills (54), kills per set (2.84), attack percentage (.304), service aces (9) and blocks (16).
