In leading the ice hockey team to a road sweep of Sacred Heart last weekend, sophomore goaltender Terry Shafer earns the first Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2014 calendar year. A native of Penfield, N.Y., Shafer recorded 48 saves in the sweep, including 30 in a 2-1 overtime victory in the second game of the series that secured the win. On the 2013-14 campaign, Shafer has recorded at least 30 saves in eight games and on the year owns a record of 4-10-2 to go along with a 3.23 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.
