Earning her second Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2017-18 season is redshirt senior forward Brittany Howard of the hockey squad. Against RIT last weekend at Colonials Arena at the RMU Island Sports Center, Howard racked up four goals and two assists to help Robert Morris sweep the two-game set. In a 6-1 win to open the series Friday, Nov. 10, Howard, a native of St. Thomas, Ontario, tallied two goals and a pair of helpers. She assisted on the first goal of the contest on a power play, then scored back-to-back goals early in the third period to give RMU a 4-1 advantage. The next night in a 5-2 victory, Howard found the back of the net twice. The program’s all-time leading scorer, Howard is pacing the Colonials in scoring in 2017-18 with 23 points on 14 goals and nine assists. She leads NCAA Division I in goals per game (1.17) and ranks third in scoring (1.92 ppg). Howard also leads Robert Morris in plus/minus at +19.
